Concentrated at 30%, Gris Charnel Extrait reveals the intensity of the original signature to extract a richer and more faceted version. A new creation, where the woody essence of patchouli is invited and brings depth to the sandalwood and tonka bean that reveal themselves more textured and warm. Voluptuous, vanilla underlines this trail with an ambery and smoked roundness. At the top, the freshness and vibrant cardamom combine with the delicacy of fig with green and fruity accents. A bright opening illuminates the opulent note of the fragrance.

Quai Saint-Bernard, near the Jardin des Plantes, the first couples arrive at the Tino-Rossi garden. As the night falls, the number of dancers increases and the bleachers fill up. Under the silver moon and the lights of the tourist barges that criss-cross the quay a few metres away, the bodies mingle to the rhythm of the music. It is then that two glances cross paths. A discreet invitation brings them to the centre of the track. As if they were carried away, they dance in the heat of the night. From this hand-to-hand seduction punctuated by knowing smiles, they end up slipping away to give free flow to more carnal desires. I have a special bond with Gris Charnel. It is for me the quintessential creamy and enveloping notes that I enjoy and love to work with. People often ask me what the perfume I would create for myself would be like. Well, in the end it would be Gris Charnel, without a doubt. Revisiting a perfume that has already found its audience is much more difficult than starting from a blank page. Through this second chapter, I wanted to magnify the sensuality of the original Gris Charnel signature, to sculpt a trail, to be even more magnetic and captivating than ever.

The House proposes qualitative and distinctive fragrances, inspired by characters, movements, silhouettes and moments. These creations all have a common a universe centered on words and tales, halfway between fantasy and reality. No preconceived formulas in this House, we are in presence of conscientious artisan work enabling the creation of exceptional fragrances.

Olfactory approach and working with raw materials

Different perfume, created by the heart. An olfactive library similar to a modern one. Elaborated fragrances of the likes of an apothecary perfumer.

Distinctive writing stamps of equilibrium between raw ingredients. Sillage composed of singular olfactive shapes. From the beginning, the idea was to work around one particular raw material in order to give it life but also directly tie it to an inspiration. This initial idea then becomes the main driver in shaping the olfactory family that characterises each BDK Parfums fragrance.

From this olfactory family stems a personality, a way of being which surges into feelings enabling the mind to run freely and narrate its tale.

The House of BDK Parfums is in perpetual search of the most flawless raw materials to offer an incomparable final product.This is why all concentrate used are formed in the region of Grasse in France.

The creative process is never rushed; new scents are complete when the perfect equilibrium between notes is found, the alchemy perfect.
