Atelier Des Ors reinterprets the heritage of French Haute Parfumerie with a modern new line of five alluring and sophisticated fragrances all of which find their roots in craftsmanship and the arts of perfumery and gold gilding.

Perfume and gold have long fascinated ancient dynasties and contributed to their wealth and power. Just like gold, perfume—per fumum—was first associated with divinity. By extension, it symbolises the pursuit of perfection and the quest of absolute—values we stand for and reunite in our fragrances.

Rouge Sarây actually existed for a long time – in the imagination of Jean-Phillipe Clermont! Years ago, the founder of Atelier des Ors made exciting trips to the Middle East. The wonderful landscapes and sensory impressions, the people and the great hospitality that he experienced in this part of the world let a unique fragrance ripen in his mind: Rouge Sarây. This oriental gourmand scent evokes the spirit of ancient trade routes in the dry deserts of Arabia. The “Rouge” in the name of the perfume reflects the sand dunes of Wadi Rum caressed by the setting sun, the ochre-coloured rocks of the Temple of Petra – and, last but not least, the amber colour of the date fruit.

That delicious fruit, which is also a symbol of hospitality, wealth and generosity, is the shining heart of Rouge Sarây. Its fruity aromas are refined by notes of sweet vanilla and heliotrope – and highlighted by fine sandalwood, sensual Peru balsam and smoky guaiac wood.

Rouge Sarây is an oasis fragrance that conveys the pampering feeling of generous hospitality. A perfume like a prayer to heaven over the vastness of the eternal desert.
